Debden Won 7-6 on Penalties
Debden won there first trophy after this exciting encounter. Bardag started the better side and put Debden under pressure but with CONOR ADAIR and ALEX BANJAC defending like tigers and Debden's goalie CALLUM BRAZIER showing great calmness they held out. JACK FULLER`S overlapping play was a feature of this match along with CIARAN SIMPSON`s tacking.
Debden had few chances but the work rate of KIERAN WHITEHEAD and ROBERT SHARP was a joy to watch. JAMIE ADDO'S tricks down the wing were causing problems for Bardag. Debden tried to play the passing game but the bumpy pitch was causing concern for both sides. LORIE MACAULEY and CHRIS STROUD were like gladiators in battle. CHARLIE SUMSION was closing down the Bardag defenders and FREDDIE SUMSION close skills were encouraging. Debden nearly scored after OLUMIDE OGUNSEITAN long run and shot which went just wide.
No goals were scored in extra time and so to penalties for the third cup game in a row.
With tension showing on both sides LORIE MACAULEY and ROBERT SHARP scored theirs and keeper CALLUM BRAZIER saved two of Bardag's, sudden death was now called upon and CHARLIE SUMSION, CHRIS STROUD, FREDDIE SUMSION and OLUMIDE OGUNSEITAN all netted. Then CALLUM BRAZIER saved Bardag goalkeeper's pen and it was left to Debden's no 1 to side foot the ball home from the penalty spot to ensure that Debden lifted the trophy.
