Debden were full of confidence ahead of their 4th Cup Final in a row.
On the morning of the match two players had to withdrawn from the squad but Debden were eager to win the cup. In the changing room before the kick off the players busy getting changed and shouting words of encouragement to each other.
From the kick off Debden were second to the ball and there passing was all over the place. Bardag were taking control in all area's of the big Aveley pitch. Debden only had two long range shots and were glad to get to half time level. This was not the Debden team that had played well all season. The second half started same as the first with Bardag taking control and they soon went ahead from a shot just outside the penalty area. Once again Debden only had to long range shots that went just wide. With clock ticking Debden took a gamble and put on an extra midfielder but this backfired as Bardag went on to add 4 further goals in the last ten minutes. Well done to Paul and his team for winning and playing so well to lift the cup.
Boys do not let your heads to drop as we can still become League Champions if we win our last two matches. Do let one poor match ruin our season.
