Debden's good cup form ran out at the final hurdle.
One a hard and bumpy pitch Debden never looked like the side that had played so well this season. It could also be sad that the Met Police were excellent on the day and never gave Debden a chance to settle on the ball. It was a mistake early in the first half that allowed Met Police to open the scoring and this did inspire Debden to play some better football. Debden's best chance of the half proved to be their undoing and Met Police broke away and a great finish doubled the lead close to half time.
Debden did threaten in the second half and did create to clear cut chances but it wasn't to be our day and Met Police closed out the game as deserved winners.
